Anouk Colantoni makes all of your fantasies come true, as fabulously flawed as they are. She is a creative problem solver and storyteller whose irreverent work challenges societal norms.
As a multi-disciplinary artist - writer, illustrator, creative director - she has developed a unique voice, skilled in the seduction of the mind and eye simultaneously. She explores the contemporary notions of beauty, values, gender, and female sexuality,
and ultimately the value of human connection. Picking up on the subtlety of her subjects, she creates explosive energy in her illustrations through freehand line.
Her unique viewpoints conjure up magical, quirky worlds drawing upon the tension between concept and reality, attraction and secrets, humor and circumstance.
Born in London, raised in Australia, Anouk Colantoni graduated from The Whitehouse Institute of Design in Sydney, Australia and moved into the fashion team at Harper’s BAZAAR Australia. She soon became the founding member of the GRAZIA Australia fashion
team, until she sought out new ideas and experience in New York. Landing her first role with Camilla Nickerson at VOGUE and on brands including Céline and Calvin Klein, she then transitioned into digital brand direction for a digital fashion
platform, bridging the divide between her print background and the expanding online fashion presence.
Yearning for an unrestrained creative outlet, Anouk began drawing and travelling with her watercolors everywhere. These comical and heartfelt commentaries led to her new career as an artist. Her first solo show in 2016, Safety In Numbers, landed her
tiny but impactful and timely works in the art scene with such success that she now has a client and collaboration portfolio with brands including: ELLE , RUSSH, Thompson Hotels: The Beekman Hotel, Stuart Weitzman, Isa Tapia, Farrow & Ball and Eye-Swoon. In
2016, Anouk also created a collection of hand-painted leather jackets for West14th, and designed a one-off wallpaper mural for the opening of the New York restaurant, The Flower Shop.
As a stylist and creative director, Anouk has worked with leading creatives including Camilla Nickerson, Mario Sorrenti, and Bruce Weber. She's worked for luxury fashion houses such as Céline, Calvin Klein and Alexander McQueen. And Colantoni has worked with publications including
Harper’s Bazaar, VOGUE and GRAZIA. Anouk has written for publications including RUSSH, ELLE and VOGUE magazines. Styling and creative direction clients include: Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, Vogue, Visual Therapy New York, Calvin Klein, Rebecca Taylor.
